Govt School Admission Result 2021 will be published on January 11. Government School Lottery Result will be released at 3:30 p.m. Results will be published via GSA Teletalk Com BD and Mobile SMS.
Students will be selected through a digital lottery for admission in government secondary schools from class 1 to class 9 across the country. The digital lottery event will be held at the International Mother Language Institute, Segunbagicha, Dhaka.
Government school lottery activities will be completed through Teletalk Bangladesh’s software. The lottery activities will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, YouTube channels, and various television channels.
Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, Deputy Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Secretary of the Ministry of Education will be present at the digital lottery for admission to the government school ceremony.
Earlier, the Government School Admission Result 2021 was supposed to be published on December 30, 2020. But later the publication of results was postponed. The decision was taken on a writ petition filed by the High Court.
The application for admission in government schools in the 2021 academic year started last 15 December. The application ends on 27 December 2020.
Students are asked to apply Online through GSA Teletalk. But many students are denied access to the age limit set by Teletalk’s software. As a result, a writ petition was filed challenging the age limit for admission in class VI. Following the writ petition, the High Court ordered the cancellation of the age limit of Class six.
In view of this, the age limit for application for admission in government schools was canceled. Subsequently, the application deadline was extended to January 7, 2021. The date of the publication of government school admission results was also changed.
In other years only the class 1 admission process was completed by lottery but this year lottery has been introduced in all classes. In other years, students were admitted to government schools from class two to class eight through admission test. But this year all class admission tests were canceled. As a result, admission in all classes from class 1 to class 9 will be completed only through the lottery.
Admission to all government schools in Dhaka, all government schools at the district and Upazila level will be completed on the basis of lottery results only.
